Funny how few Catholic Colleges play big time ball now a days.


They mentioned Holy Cross and Villanova. They called Santa Clara the fictitious Santa Carla.
They could not have mentioned St Marys-they had dropped Football a few years before this film, due to a scandal, and that would have been fresh on people's minds. They could not have mentioned Fordham University, since St Anthony' was a NYC college run by the Provincial (Jesuits) already. Too close to home I guess.

Notre Dame and Boston College are the only two.

Yeah, I've seen that list.
I have also heard that B.C. is hosting N.D. in 2015 in, of-all-places, Fenway Park.
Cool! I am glad these two "Big Time" football programs keep the Catholic Connection alive.
