100 min?

Runtime:
USA: 100 min | West Germany: 80 min

Just watched on TCM. It ran about 80 minutes but is listed as 100 minutes by TCM (see this constantly on TCM where they show one version but provide the running length of a different version). My question is, since it was 80 minutes, does that mean TCM was showing a West German version of the film? That would make absolutely no sense. Can anyone shed light on the running time discrepancy? Since the film was butchered and edited to death does that mean there is a 100 minute version out there somewhere that isn't haphazardly cut to shreds?
