Hi. I've seen all of the Ealing comedies, and I regret to say that "Kind hearts" is among the ones I liked the least. I've always liked Alec Guinness, but I found the film very slow-going and a bit too overlong. My sister, whom I first introduced to the golden classics, loved it though.
Nevertheless, thanks for the tip, Klaus.

It's a tricky one, isn't it?..

1. The Lavender Hill Mob
2. Passport to Pimlico
3. The Ladykillers
4. Whisky Galore!
5. The Titfield Thunderbolt

... And I confess to rather enjoying The Maggie, especially as it's shown relatively infrequently compared to all the others... I also agree to being somewhat disappointed in Kind Hearts and Coronets... As a star vehicle, it shows Guinness' superlative acting ability in an admirable fashion, but as a comedy, it falls rather flat...

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...
