i recall a drunk comedic steerage passenger with a life preserver and beer bottle in hand while titanic is sinking. is this the right movie?

yes, i think there is a drunk, but i think it was a first class passenger.

No,there is a scene of drunk 3rd class passengers in "A Night To Remember", also in "ANTR" are scenes of the drunk baker tossing chairs overboard etc.

and the actual baker that the character is based was alleged to have been in the water four hours and survived, miracle.

Well the ex-priest (Basehart) was a drunk, but he was far from comedic.
