Folks this is the greatest news of the year, If you have been searching for the Tell Tale Heart you can find it on the Hellboy (2 disc edition)dvd, you will find it on the special features Hellboy recommends. This was recorded off of a 16mm copy that Harry Knowles has in his collection, Del Toro(Hellboys director) had been searching for this since he was a child and saw it at a screening by Harry Knowles. He wanted everybody to see his biggest influence and treated us by putting it on the first Hellboy DVD!(It is not on the Hellboy directors cut 3 disc DVD)

Outstanding! Been searching and hoping to see this little Poe adaptation for a long time. Did I see it on TV as a kid?

I saw it first (and only) in an art theater in Saginaw, MI in the 50s, presumeably when it was first released. I would have been 11 or 12 at the time,
and my sister would have been 4 years younger. Pretty heady stuff for kids if I remember it correctly. I remember my folks discussing the use of psychologically-chosen colors to enhance the terror effect.

I'm not generally a horror fan, so it would be nice to be able to get a copy of this without contributing cash or ratings to the Hellboy ouvre. (I know; it wouldn't amount to much, but it's the principle of the thing.)

Awesome short film! Was a great surprise when i found it on the "Hellboy"'s DVD extras!
