why isn't this film available on DVD or VHS?

Good God! It's been over 50 LONG years since this film was made! What is holding this up? It's an excellent piece of work. The only stars still alive from this work are Kirk Douglas, Leslie Caron and Farley Granger. Turner owns it now so why doesn't his company release it on DVD or even VHS? They just released "Madam Curie" -- so, maybe there's hope after all (fingers crossed).

I agree and wonder why it has not been released to dvd. I would love to see it again. I think I saw it on TV once.

I believe Zsa Zsa Gabor is still alive at 90! A recluse, imprisoned by
that phony husband of hers and his fake title. She's the best thing
about episode #2, the weakest of the three.

Good point, Zsa Zsa is still with us. However, as a 71 year old man I have the distinction of wishing first that I could exchange places with Ricky Nelson, and a few years later, with Farley Granger. And I've always been in love with Leslie Caron. Why isn't LILI on DVD for heaven's sake.

And I've played my recording of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini a thousand times since first hearing it in this film. In 1953 I was 17 years old, I guess. That is a good age to view this movie for the first time.

I was eleven when I first saw it with my mother. "The Jealous Lover" is
my favorite of the three loves. James Mason was already a favorite of mine
by then. Having worked with Ava Gardner. The other Granger -- Stewart --
played Nicolo Paganini in "The Magic Bow" about the famous violinist.

I think it's a music rights issue.

Well, the music is by Rachmaninoff and Miklos Rosza. All other films wich Rosza's scores have pretty much been released. Why not this one? Why are they holding out?

I plan to go to the TCM site, get their mailing address and write to them asking for a release of the DVD for this film as well as for "Lili."

This should definitely be available on DVD.

Richard Anderson, Marcel in "Equilibrium," is still with us. He's famous for playing Oscar Goldman in both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman TV series. I believe he just had a birthday in August and turned 84.

Leslie Caron is my mom's age and one of mom's favorite film stars. My mom is coming out to visit me soon and I taped this movie when it aired on TCM on 8/4 for her to watch! She was 20 when it came out and I don't think she's seen it since.
