Info on Eqpt. used in the Steel lady

I saw this movie as teenager back in the 50's and over the years tried to find the name as I had forgotten it , about 15 years ago I decided that every night I would read through Maltin's book and eventually came to the steel Lady , I was over joyed as it took three months , that was the easy bit , to get a copy was a lot harder but in the end a friend in the US made a copy from TNT and sent it to me, I watched it the other night to show a friend , the reason that I was so interested in the movie was because of the radio Equip. they used , I was right into Ham radio at the time . Can anyone tell me the type of tank that was used , it appears to be a US tank made to look like a German tank , the machine gun is a Browning 30 cal and the radio from the tank is a #19 set transceiver used in British and Canadian tanks during WWII , I really enjoy watching it still , it is a great story

Tks for the info ErJen , I will be able to tell a Tank friend tonight that he was probably correct , it would make a great remake , I always felt sorry for the tanks demise at the end , it was really the hero in the movie, it is good see that there has been quite a bit of interest in this movie .

The tank is an American M-24 Chafee light tank dressed up to resemble a German tank.
