6 o'clock. I was having dinner.

Terrific film! Just watching it now on TV. First time I've seen it in about 25 years or so. Something struck me though; a plant like Price should never make a mistake such as indicated in the thread title. Pearl Harbor occurred at 8 AM local time, which would be about 1 PM Cleveland time, or lunchtime as Sefton said.

What do people think? Had he become too relaxed after passing as as American for so long that when he was pushed he reverted to type? Atavism rules OK?

Anyway, it didn't detract from my enjoyment. Far from it - I actually upped my score from 8 to 9.

Seems like Price was not well trained in how to act if he comes under suspicion. He gets very nervous and defensive and isn't prepared for a "where was he" question?

I think he became complacent. With the exception of Sefton, they are not too clever in that hut, and Sefton's talent for scrounging and cynicism made him a more obvious target for suspicion - when suddenly Price came under suspicion he was not prepared.
