I wonder, isn't there a more... ehm, elegant expression?

Well, in fact "slut" is the Swedish word for "end". I saw this film projected in a cinema and when it finished they forgot to shut down the projector, and you got a brief flash of the words

MONIKA
SLUT

onscreen. Amusing.

No, the word origins are different.
