I saw this movie many years ago on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed it. Jane Powell was cute as a button but what I went away remembering about this film as "Take Me to Broadway", Bobby Van's humna pogostick number and "You Gotte Hear that Beat", Ann Miller's number with the disembodied orchestra.

I have to say that Anne Miller's tap dance routine is for me one of the greatest dance performances in movie history.

Spellbinding in its athleticism and grace.

I've never seen Ann so ....um, 'appealing' as in "I Gotta Hear that Beat". I'm still
twitterpated !!

I have to agree. Powell and Granger were lovely to look at, but Van and Miller stole the show. Full of talent and personality. And Bobby Van -- a life cut much too short. Would have loved to have seen him on Broadway.
