It's on Turner Classic Movies right now!

I just watched "The Killer Is Loose", starring Rhonda Fleming, and promised I would go to bed at 4 a.m. Well, "Serpent of the Nile" started, and I thought, "What the heck?! I don't have to be anywhere today!" So, here I am, watching Raymond Burr as Marc Antony, which I haven't decided if I like or not. He has teh voice adn the presence. Actually, I've been fairly impressed with the costumes and sets. I've seen recent films with bigger budgets who didn't have costumes as convincing. Actually, some of them looked like they shopped for bargain material at Walmart; you know the bolts of stuff I mean. But, this looks very colorful and really quite good.

When I was growing up in the Fifties as a redhead, I envied other girls having actresses to identify with~brunettes, blondes, even "brownettes". When I asked my mother about redheaded actresses, she suggested Rhonda Fleming, which is how I learned about this lady. (Yes, I know. They could have mentioned Arlene Dahl, Deborah Kerr, Greer Garson, etc.) How odd to see her in a movie in which those flaming tresses are hidden under a black wig.

Did the Gilded Girl (Julie Newmeyer (Newmar)) inspire the golden girl in "Goldfinger" (published in 1959)? Just a thought... (Yes, I recall the gilded youth in "Bedlam" (1946).)
