'Salome' is no 'Delilah'

"Samson & Delilah" was the first huge hit ( 1949 ) of Technicolor Biblical movies. That being said, the other studios, had to have their main sex symbol make such a movie. Columbia came back with Rita, MGM came back with Lana, 20th with Susan Hayward, and then the Italians took over with their strong men versions...but none of them could match "Samson & Delilah".
