At the end of the movie Caligula refers to the slave uprisings & Spartacus.Jean Simmons(Diana)would go on to appear in the Spartacus film 8 years later.

Ah yes...Marcus Licinius Crassus! Olivier's great line that made Houdini (Tony Curtis) disappear (lol). Was the real Crassus bisexual?

I don't know, but he certainly leaned toward it in Howard Fast's novel.
