The Golden Years of Westerns

Yes,the Western films of the 1930's to perhaps 1959! No appropriate adjectives would do justice to the golden years of this Hollywood era.Everything was simpler then in what was America. In spite of the horrors of war and thousands of innocent young men/soldiers
being sent to die or return maimed. Fighting in battles, while super wealthy old men such as
FDR and Harry Truman hid in the shadows. These wars were avoidable. However, rich old men decided to push the envelope instead of exercising diplomacy...none of these young American soldiers should have perished.Even the disgusting Civil War need not have happened!
600,000 White men died because the Lincoln administration was crooked and inept.
I cannot watch Westerns with a post Civil War story back drop, unless I tune out the early parts until it becomes a Western.
Nevertheless,the actors,directors,cinematographers,stuntmen,stories and scenery was/is
special and cannot be duplicated.Sorry I am for the youngsters of today who for whatever reason, are not privy to the likes of Powder River Rory Calhoun and John Dehner. What a movie.I give it a 10 because it is Golden.
