I know precisely what you mean! I first saw this ‘film’ in ’62, that’d be 1962, at a Saturday matinee in Peoria at the height of the Cuban missile crisis, in October, I believe. Maybe November. This was so obviously a fifth column work, a celluloid Trojan horse meant to demoralize the American public, coming at a time when McCarthyism no longer protected the average Joe and the stinking Reds were safely back at their typewriters in Hollywood , churning out this sci-filth imagery.
***WARNING> SPOILERS AHEAD <WARNING***
While the invader did die, at the very end, we neither interrogated nor violently put down this Marxist dog. As a young man this left me with a feeling of impotence that lasted well into the following Spring. But that is just what they wanted, don’t you see? If you are still struggling, in that regard, let me assure you that this was JUST A MOVIE and not the least bit accurate in it’s depiction of our Police and Military. Comrade scientist was obviously a ‘plant’, what with his accent and all, so at least that was accurate. The nude scene featuring Lela Nelson, on the verge of orgasm, writhing sweaty and bare breasted astride the ‘invisible penis’ (of American manhood) was surely meant to blacken American purity. How this got past the C&RA censors is beyond me. What I’m trying to tell you is please don’t fret! I realize that this movie disfigured you, too, but we must be strong and steadfast in our resolve despite such socialist trickery. Destroy this dvd before it falls into the hands of your children and mars another generation of real Americans.

This thread, as short as it may be, is by far the most entertaining thing I have read on IMDB for a long time. I applaud both of the above contributors for the manner in which they have brightened my day. Joshsdad's direction was superb from the outset, but the performance of Louis was positively scene-stealing. Huzzah!
