FAVORITE LINES from PFS/53

My favorite lines from this movie PFS/53 is after Lt. Hazen (Communications Commission) returns from the police station to rejoin his partner, Charlie.

CHARLIE: "Well, what's the score?"

HAZEN: "Ah, it looks like one of those things. Pretty girl,
older husband, young boarder. Kid claims some guy without a head
knocked the old man off."

CHARLIE: "You don't say? Anything else?"

HAZEN: "Yeah, he had a diver's outfit with horns."

CHARLIE: "Naw, he's gonna have to do better than that."

I'll have to admit, these lines kind of fractured me.

Another good one:

Goofy reporter: "Who's the Wheel???"

Cop on duty: "You heard the man. Communications Commision!"

Goofy reporter looks impressed...

I appreciate your response to my observation about actor Steve Clark's age. I've been waiting over a year to hear someone else's thoughts on the matter. Thanks for the input!

You're welcome.

DR. WYATT: My theory is that this space ship, or whatever it was that he came in, operated on the principal of magnetic, rather than atomic, propulsion, and that somewhere in the outer limits met with a condition where the earth's gravity pulled it down and it fell into the ocean and that he managed to save his life and reach shore. (Italics mine.)

LT. HAZEN: What you've told us is very interesting, Doctor...

Note: The late Leslie Stevens said he came up with the title for THE OUTER LIMITS on the spur of the moment, when the executives at ABC said that his original title PLEASE STAND BY was unacceptable. But here's the term in PHANTOM FROM SPACE ten years earlier. Uncanny...

Hi wallerworld,

I remember this statement by Dr. Wyatt, but didn't catch the term, "...the outer limits," until your post.
A lot of times, science fiction is used to present social problems cleverly disguised in the sci-fi format.

Interesting cause I always felt like this would have made a perfect Outer Limits or Twilight Zone episode.

Hi Zeta1983-1,

Got it. Thanks.

I may have mentioned this before, but my favorite Outer Limits episode is, NIGHTMARE.
I think this OL episode, along with the movie 36 hours(1964), should be shown to everybody undergoing any kind of POW, etc, resistance training.

Best.
