Steve Clark's (Bill Randall) Age???

If you look up the actor Steve Clark - who played Bill Randall, Barbara Randall's Clark Kent look-alike husband in "Phantom From Space", his IMDB data sheet says he was born in 1891. That would have made him 62 years old when PFS was filmed! How could that be possible? That has to be a mistake - he looked as though he were no older than his mid-thirties in that film. It's either a mistake, or he was one of those very rare individuals who simply don't seem to age. Sadly, his IMDB data sheet also shows him having passed away in 1954, only the year after "Phantom". Does anyone know if these dates are correct? I'm just rather curious...

I, too, believe that Bill Randall's(Steve Clark) age is incorrect. Possiblly a clerical error. I believe you're right. Randall(Clark) looks like he's in his mid-thirties, and I also think that he bears a strikingly close to Clark Kent (George Reeves). Perhaps, this is by design. Anyway, if it isn't a mistake, then Randall(Clark) must have had one helluva good make-up man.

Love the way he keeps putting his hands back in his pockets during what should be times of extreme distress and anxiety! :)

The 'Steve Clark' born in 1891 is 'Elmer Stephen Clark'. A well known face in 1930's and 40's Westerns. He is believed to have been in about 270 films, mostly B grade 'churn 'em out in a week' westerns... Definitely not the same 'Steve Clark' in Phantom from Space.

Thank you for clearing that up. Even six years after my initial post, it had remained a minor mystery to me. I see the IMDB listing on "Phantom" no longer links to the same Steve Clark it did half a dozen years ago. Again, thanks for the info!
