Love This Melodrama - Spoiler at end

I adore the scenery of Niagara Falls and the acting of all concerned. The use of the Bell Tower as a "character" was haunting in playing it's melodies.

I thought Jean Peters was particularly affecting in her difficult role of being noticed as the pretty but wholesome counterpart to MM's over the top sexuality. Jean provided the comfort and attention to Joseph Cotten's character that he actually needed to get from his wife but MM was too busy plotting his demise and kind of enjoying "playing with him" until that could happen.

The picture wrapped up neatly with the boyfriend meeting his demise at the Falls and MM hers at the Bell Tower. No one left to prosecute for a murder plot; not even Joseph Cotten's character as the victim/murderer.

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!
