I was in this film!

As a child of 4yrs old I attended a nursery school in Gunnersbury, London and children from there were asked to appear in this film. I played an orphan in the garden auction scenes.
I can remember going to the film studios in a coach with my packed lunch and vividly remember being in the garden on a very hot summer day. All I wanted to do was to lie down and go to sleep which is when Gregory Peck asked me if I was alright and when I said I was tired he said 'it won't be long now'. This is my claim to fame.

Hi cassavetes45, thanks for the message and sorry to disappoint you but no that one was not me. In that garden scene you see Gregory Peck sitting in a chair with a little girl on the right of him (as you look at him) and on the right of her is me and then again soon after there is a shot of some orphans standing in a line in front of the house and I'm the naughty one who keeps fidgeting, rubbing my eyes and leaning forward to look down the line of children. I was very hot, bored and tired!

oh boy, i wished i had known all this beforehand.
let me tell you this though, i'll be looking for TCM to air it again and when they do i'll spot you.
and no need to call yourself 'the naughty one'...i'm sure it wasn't the most pleasant thing for a little one to go through, especially because you were so tired. but wow, the memory of that day must be wonderful to have. i mean, gregory peck! what a sweet gentleman he was.

that's a great story!

but did you realize it was a movie?
were you aware of Peck's status?

and, had you any conception of your being immortalized on film? (I'd guess not, your being 4).

if you were to watch this, you could identify yourself?

reply

Just watched that scene and spotted you!

How exciting ?????
