Carol Reed

After watching this film and having recently seen The Third Man, I've become a huge fan of Reed's. The cinematography is quite similar in style and yet he used a different cinematographer ! He clearly has a unique vision, one that I admired in his other works; Trapeze and particularly Oliver, which I always adored. His style here and in other films seems quite reminiscent of Italian neo-realism, which I find quite interesting because he was a British filmmaker. Those camera angles and scene compositions are brilliant !
