watched the new restored dvd love it.

I saw this on tv years ago,in Britain.

Perhaps because it reminds people of The Third Man it is hardly ever shown on tv.

It has not been on dvd for years,if ever, so I was glad to buy the newly restored dvd.

This is a good film but of course it is not as good as The Third Man or Odd Man Out.

But if you like spy or noir films you should seek this one out.
The restored film looks great and there is a documentary about the director as an extra.

I would like to purchase the restored dvd. Who released it? Can it be bought on Amazon or Ebay? I'd appreciate any info you could give me.

reply

I don't know where you live but the newly restored is available in Britain from Studiocanal.
It is part of their Vintage Classics series.

The dvd and blu Ray is region 2 and is on Amazon UK.

I would be surprised if it was not available in the USA and elsewhere.

Thank you for the information. If you are a Mason fan, you might be interested in the restored versions of ODD MAN OUT (comes with some great bonus features) and THE NIGHT HAS EYES, beautiful jobs on both.

I will be buying ODD MAN OUT and will consider THE NIGHT HAS EYES.

reply

For ODD MAN OUT, I recommend the 2-disc set by The Criterion Collection and for THE NIGHT HAS EYES, I recommend Network.
