A ground breaking and influential film
This film by Morris Engel about a boy who runs away to Coney Island after thinking he shot his brother is a must see. It won the Silver Lion at the Venice Fim Festival. A very real slice of life from early 1950s New York, almost like going back in time 50 years with a time machine. A big inspiration for many "new wave" films, and in particular director Francois Truffant. This film is really worth seeking out.
