If they were remake "Lili", wouldn't Michael Fassbender make a terrific Paul? It's the kind of intense, somewhat offbeat role he lives for. It certainly doesn't hurt that Fassbender shares some of Mel Ferrer's physical characteristics (tall, lean build, square jawline, striking eyes).
sharealthough I hope they don't make a remake unless it was more to the novella and in which case I don't know think modern audiences would like it very much because of the abusive elements.
I do think Michael Fassbender would be a good choice...although I could be bias :D

The better a film, the less reason for ever remaking it. And to me, the least reason of all for a remake is just to exploit some current actor who happens to be attracting attention for a possibly short time.
