Oh please...

The hero of the first version, played by Walter Huston, was named "Frame Johnson," so they kept it. In the novel SAINT JOHNSON, the basis for both films, the hero--obviously based on Wyatt Earp-- is named "Wayt Johnson," and one of the bad guys is "Frame Tod." Why they switched names for the first movie adaptation is beyond me.
