From This Moment On

I think that this number is one of the best dance sequences in all musicals. On the extra stuff on the DVD it said that each dancer got to coreograph their part the way they wanted it and in their style of dance. The girl in yellow was also Gene Kellys future wife.

I totally agree with you, about this being the best number. this was the first musical i ever watched. I am 18 now, i was about 6 when i saw this. I just got the dvd for christmas and watched for the first time since i was young. and that number 'From This Moment On' brought back so many happy memories for me that i cried. my family laughed at me, but i didn't care. I love this movie and all its wonder.

That's the way it crumbles...cookie-wise.

Tommy Rall's choreography is fantastic! He's such a versatile artist I find myself watching only his scenes.

I've always wanted to be a June Bride...

Anybody who is acquainted with Bob Fosse's work could tell that he choreographed his section with Carol Haney without being told...it was glaringly obvious. Classic Fosse stuff.

Just watched it again ... my three favourite ensemble dance numbers are... #3 The Barn Raising from "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" ...#2 Cool from "West Side Story ... #1, and by a long margin, From This Moment On from "Kiss Me Kate".

But you ARE Blanche ... and I AM.

As I understand it, only Fosse was allowed to choreograph his own section of this number.
