The typeface or font used in the title credits

Did anyone else here notice how the typeface or font used in the title credits seems to be what the 'Indiana Jones" movies used? It seems obvious to me, but I wanted to see what others might think.

A little, but not so much because its in B&W

I'm looking at the opening credits for Jeopardy and my boxed set of Indiana Jones. While both typefaces are a sans serif font (except for the I & J in Indiana Jones), the typeface itself isn't the same. Jeopardy has a shredding and varying width on the uprights, while IJ has a solid stroke and a perspective attribute. What does make them seem similar is they are both oblique (italic), and most important, both shaded (though IJ is dark to light, and Jeopardy light to dark). Jeopardy reminds me a bit of many of the 1950s monster and SciFi movies. Maybe why I like it better.
