What Was Bradbury's Other Story?

According to the documentary on "It Came From Outer Space", When Ray Bradbury was consulted to write a script for a science fiction movie, he wrote two. He wrote one; a "traditional science fiction story with all the bells and whistles" and a second one; "something different that I would rather see you make." and they produced the latter which became what we know as "It Came From Outer Space." My question is, what was Bradbury's other story about? What was it? What was it called? I'm talking about the "traditional science fiction story with all the bells and whistles."
