Did he really say "you've got to hit them right in the puss"?

I just finished watching this movie on Dailymotion and thought it was great fun! Especially the first hour was great, last half not so much and I felt it fell a bit flat after the build-up. But oh well anyway. Between 1:11:40 and 1:11:45 in this link: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x29uwpt_invaders-from-mars-1953_shortfilms

Did he really just said that? Or what did he say? I couldn't and still can't believe my ears

Edit: after all, I read in the Trivia section they did actually use condoms to create the bubbles for the tunnels. So maybe they were just some dirty-minded fellas

I don't know how old you are -- but "puss" means face. It's an old expression, obviously. Much like "kisser" for face, and Kiester for butt.

So please remove thy head from thou gutter. ;-)

well i don't think age is the problem here. It's the language-barrier. I'm not a native speaker so I've never heard it meant face a while ago. Thanks for the info!

Language barrier or not -- age "could have been an issue" had you been a millenial who'd never heard the expression before.

Even Americans have never heard "puss" meant for face. There are many long lost idioms.

Well I suppose your right, but I'll never forget it at least haha

I really couldn't care less for American politics. The country should be ashamed for the way they let themselves portray in foreign countries
