Anyone see 1953 release in theatre?

I remember sitting in the audience of a theatre in 1953 or '54 and seeing HoW in 3-D.

Seems like there was a scene where some character throws something directly toward the camera (not the barker scene). We all dodged toward the side of our seats, as that thing was coming straight at us!

What filming technology for 1953!

E pluribus unum

I saw a re-release in a dollar house in the '70's; I still have the plastic 3D glasses. My memory is a little fuzzy but I think something is thrown at the screen during Jarrod's fight with the guy who wants to burn down the museum.
I need to re-watch this film again soon.

I saw the 1953 release alone in a movie theater at the tender age of 10. Scared the heck out of me. I have the DVD and just finished watching it again. I only wish I could see this version in 3-D. I remember the barker with those paddle balls hitting them into the audience..and those can can dancers..too funny. And..those annoying 3-D glasses. There was one scene that had me laughing. Phyllis Kirk was going to sleep and opened the window wide open. Duh..she had been chased by Vincent Price and leaves an open invitation for him. And, how about Charles Bronson as the mute....creepy.

This film has been released on 3D bluray:

I'm not entirely sure what the requirements to see it in 3D are though. You definitely need a 3D-capable bluray player. You might also need a 3D-capable TV, though maybe 3D glasses would do. I'm not sure. Still, at least it's possible.

I just got back from seeing it in 3D. There were a couple of times where I flinched a bit!
