I have become a Developer for Netflix, and...

I suggested they offer all the original anaglyph (blue-green) 3D movies for which they have licenses as both "flat" and 3D.

If this works out, Netflix Streaming subscribers may get to see all of the 3D movies, from "Bwana Devil" on available in anaglyph 3D;as, I understand, it is fairly easy to convert all 3D processes to anaglyph. In fact, a 2D to 3D converter for your TV will set you back considerably less than $100.

Rawhide with Clint Eastwood, Wanted Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen, and Maverick with James Garner.

Good picks! I've noticed Netflix is offering Dexter on stream, but only seasons 1-4. Couldn't they offer up chunks of shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza, maybe the first few seasons or something, rather than the entire series? I'd love to see the ones you named made available for streaming.

Was this shot in 3-D?

If so, it'd explain the close-ups of shooting rifle barrels, spears coming toward the camera, etc.

Yes it was originally meant to be shown in 3-D. The blu-ray has a supplemental introduction by Leonard Maltin where he talks about this. By the time the movie was released, people weren't as interested in 3-D movies as they were a few years prior.

Yep, it was shot and released in 3D. And it was one of the last successful 3D movies. It made more during the first weeks in its 3D version ten the 2D version. The problem was that it used the polarization technique and less and less cinemas offered that equipment. Thats why its either known today as 2D only or the horrible anaglyph 3D version. But it was shot in good, old color 3D.
