Breaking Down Bergman series on Sawdust and Tinsel

A note for Bergman fans, we've launched a YouTube channel where we are watching all of Bergman's films, in order, and talking about our reactions, some of the highlights and other details. It's called Breaking Down Bergman.

We've just completed our video for Sawdust and Tinsel, complete with clips and a discussion about how this fits into early Bergman themes. Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments section.

I've fixed the hyperlink so it's clickable.

I've just watched the film for the first time, one of the few Bergmans I'd never seen (I've been a Bergman fan since the wild cinephilic art-house cinema days of the '60s), and enjoyed your take on it. I'll get to watch your others, and will comment, when I get a chance.

If you can, I'd be glad if you manage to improve the sound quality of your discussions.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

In the more recent videos (I think we start with Smiles of a Summer Night or Seventh Seal), we invested in microphones, so the quality does improve. We'd like to make some other changes, but since it's a non-profit, we're operating on whatever cash we can afford at the time.

Keep watching and I look forward to your comments on the YouTube page. You can also find us on Facebook where we update with some of the latest Bergman news.
