Eerily Similar to Scarlet Street

Edward Robinson played the part of Chris Cross in Scarlet Street. The Glass Web is an ok movie while Scarlet Street is a classic.

In TGW, Henry Hayes (Edward Rboinson) kills Paula Ranier (Kathleen Hughes.) The scene is very similar to very much the same scene in SC. In SC, the Joan Bennett character is telling Chris that he's old, ugly, and that she has no use for him. In a rage, Chris kills her with an ice pick. In TGW, Paula is telling Henry Hayes much the same thing - that he's disgusting, etc. I was actually expecting him to pick up an ice pick. Instead he strangled her.
