What's your favorite scene?

Unlike most people, my favorite scene is not "Diamonds", but the scene where Lorelei gets trapped in the porthole and gets the little boy to pretend to be her body. Then Piggy comes along, and he tries to take the boys hand, which he thinks is Lorelei's, and we hear this muffled "Gerroff"! For some reason that just cracked me up, especially the conversation between Lorelei and the boy:

"Help me!"
"I'll help you for two reasons.."
"Never mind the reasons. Just get me out of here!"
"Reason number one: I'm too young to go to jail. Reason numer two: You have a lot of animal magnetism."

"...Feel my aura."
"I don't think I'm allowed to."

My favorites are the one you mentioned with the young boy, Diamonds are a girls best friend scene, and the Olympian one. fun fact: during the olympic number Russel wasn't supposed to fall into the pool but she did, accidentally. director thought that it was so cute he kept it in. great story.

I loved that scene, it was hilarious when the boys says 'stop that' and Marilyn takes her voice down several octives and says 'must be laryngitis' (sp). Plus the ridiculous idea that Marilyn was that tall, what with her head sticking out of the window.

I love the "Ain't There Anyone Here for Love" sequence.

And Dorothy's line "The chaperone is there to make sure no one has any fun. But nobody chaperones the chaperone, and that is why I am so right for this job."

I'll drink to that.

I love the "Ain't There Anyone Here for Love" sequence.

Seeing that sequence elsewhere is what made me want to watch the movie in the first place. I love it! Jane is brilliant through the whole sequence.

The court scene, where Jane Russell impersonates Marilyn Monroe. Chaos ensues. The best part is when Jane cracks because the character named Malone is in the courtroom!

I think Jane Russell did an amazing job in this movie, and the courtroom scene is probably the best Monroe impersonation ever, and certainly the funniest scene in the movie.

Did he train you? Did he rehearse you? Did he tell you *exactly* what to do, what to say?!

Took me a long time to realise that.

The scene with Mr. Esmond, the elder, where she explains why she wants to marry Mr. Esmond, the younger. The whole, I can be smart when it's important. The befuddled Elder is completely taken aback. But, then, after 54 years, the whole thing is just fun to watch. Anita Loos was a great writer and it really shows here. The best movie Jane Russell or Marylyn Monroe ever made. Great Technicolor. And Howard Hawks? Who knew?

I loved the porthole scene as well.

I loved when Marilyn and Jane walked into the dining room, each looking like a million bucks. And I also loved the scene where they're trying to get the film from that guy.

The porthole scene.

Esmond Sr.: Have you got the nerve to tell me you don't want to marry my son for his money?
Lorelei Lee: It's true.
Esmond Sr.: Then what do you want to marry him for?
Lorelei Lee: I want to marry him for YOUR money.
