I liked the film's ending, but I thought a potentially better ending would be for Bill to finally see the selfishness of his actions and try to make amends by making a duplicate of Robin for Helen.
Also: I have a suspicion that the Doctor made up the thing about the scars on the back of the neck just to make Robin feel better...

Duplicating Robin would have solved the problem but another alternative ending would have Lena and Helen both return to Robin. I don't think Robin would complain.

I had a different "alternative ending" scenario. Suppose out of desperation Helen KILLS Lena! Then takes her place. Easy enough to accomplish the impersonation when you're the same person!
