A Page Out Of Ginger's Life?

I couldn't help but notice the similarities, between Ginger's Character and Ginger herself...


Character...

A famous movie star, who loves being the center of attention most of the time, and entering that period in her life where she is not a young woman anymore, but still trying to hold on to that youth.

But enjoys having a normal breakfast with her friends... And then when away from Hollywood, lets their hair down by going to a hideaway, where she creates pottery while being covered in clay.



Ginger...

A famous movie star, also entering that same period in her life where she was not a young woman anymore, but still has such beauty and talent to take on roles and play younger roles, Usually in Characterization, like in "Kitty Foyle", "The Major and the Minor" and "Monkey Business"... While also at the same time play roles involving Hollywood Divas too.

Had parties for her friends and not for Hollywood executives... and When not in hollywood, spent her time at her "Rogers Rogue River Ranch", where she bottled milk, plowed the cornfield, fed chickens... And for relaxation: painted, sculpted, played award winning sports (Yes she won some), and drank Ice Cream Sodas from her own Soda Fountain.



One has to wonder if this movie was written with Ginger in mind...

I could see why she would choose to take on this role, since it reflected her life so much...

Or did Ginger influence the writers by asking them to make the part more like her life?



Anyway...

It was nice to see Ginger play a role that was very much like her own life, and showing us a "taste" of who she really was when she was away from Hollywood.
