I Own a Copy Anyone want it?

I have a relatively decent copy considering how long it has gone unseen, if your interested reply and ill see what i can do. This film is meant to be shown.

reply

Could you tell me more about your copy (film, VHS, DVD?). Is it possible to buy a copy of your copy. Otherwise, do you know where I can see it? You still can write at "[email protected]". Thanks.

reply

I am also interested in your copy of "Fear and Desire." Is it VHS or DVD? If so, I can be reached at [email protected]. Thanks.

The only copies around are VHS & most are very terrible, considering how it has "become avaliable".... people who where luck to tape it off North American TV broadcasts in dee late 1970's to early-early-80's (the Kubrick pulled dee plug on dee film, and even burned dee negatives and all prints except two - as dee story goes)- -

Any VHS tape that you can get is very crappy video quality....WHY, becuase VHS recorders were crap back then, PLUS what you would get is usually a fifth to tenth generation copy.....even todays DVD copies are just a bad VHS copy bumped up to DVD....... Now I have seen some OK 3rd/4th generation copies, which was watchable..... HEY, I even saw an original TV broadcast back then......

Now dee soundtrack is really nothing to speak off for a KUB film.... he shot it silently and dee dee dubbing in post..... and not alot of money mind you, Kub always call F&D "an enept student film", and in dee early-80's was enbarrassed by it.... I LOVE IT and is very inportant to see how he developed as a filmmaker, with no formal film school education, self-taught, that bou, like evrything else in his life.......

ANY WAY.... hope this helps, and you should see it.... but hopefully you woyn't get your hopes up about a great quality copy.... know what to expect (and enjoy this great film)

gshanger, that post was almost unreadable because of all the times you used the word 'dee', which is pretty sad because you had actually some relevent to say on the topic at hand, and I was interested in what you were saying, but everytime the "word" 'dee' came up I just couldn't help be think how much of an a-hole you must be. So stop being an a-hole and stop using 'dee'!!!!!!

reply

I mean no disrespect man, but, could you imagine a world where we were all uniform and drones. I can't, but you certianly do. Shang Shang!!!

reply

It is not about being drones. Its about your text being unreadable. I simply stopped reading halfway through, because of you keep writing "Dee", which is a shame, because you seem smart enough. I just cant have respect for a guy who writes "dee" instead of "the". It is almost on par with the children writing in leet and the kids writing in ebonics.

We can't stop here! This is Bat-country!

You are a priceless moron. :)

reply

Hey man, if that's how you want to say it thats the way it should be. Don't let anyone tell you language is standardized. If he calls it dee, then its dee. Anyone who complains over something as minute as that is hopelessly trapped inside the box. But hey, maybe you'll all find your way out someday.

reply

I must disagree, languages are standardized. Didn't you ever take English in school?? They teach you all those rules for a reason. I must admit as well that I was turned off by reading the dee's. I just don't see the reasoning behind doing so. It only confuses the point that you are trying to make, and it reduces an otherwise very informative point into something as trivial as a grammar debate.

Educated people use the syntax of the language that they are communicating with just the same way that a programmer must stay within his given languages syntax.

reply

My criticism was one of semantics, not syntax. Maybe that will allow you to revise your naive views.

reply

It was so annoying to read I skipped over most of it.

Why people choose to be intentionally hard to understand is beyond me.

"well I dont like giving my address out so is it possible to transfer it to your computer and email it to me "

funniest thing ive ever heard

reply

[deleted]

yes but nobody is going to send you a gigabyte (depending on compression obviously) worth of files through "email"

even if this were encoded down to 300 megabytes it would still be ridiculous to even consider emailing it

reply

Can you rip it to divx/xvid?

Offer still available?
