Spoofed in 'The Man With Two Brains'

This film was spoofed by Steve Martin in Carl Reiner's "The Man With Two Brains." Has anyone seen both? I've only seen the later film.

Is "Donovan's Brain" worth seeking out? Is it unintentionally funny?

Thanks for the reply! This sounds like an interesting film, and I love the '50s lo-fi sci-fi. I'll seek it out.

This is the first time I've seen it since I did once when I was about 9 or 10
in the late 1950s when our local CBS station (NYC) used to have an afternoon movie. THE EARLY SHOW. Later on both NBC & ABC also had afternoon movies.
Over the years this film hasn't gotten much air time.
Anyone notice John Hamiton (Perry White on The Adventures of Superman) in the bank scene?

Back to the film:
What was Donovan planing some kind of permanent giant housing for his brain while he took over the world?

Not much of this is made clear.

Funny you mention Perry White. I recognized the face, but couldn't place him. Brodie was easy to spot from The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms and The Giant Spider Invasion.

I actually think I saw this film on The Creature Double Feature which was played on Saturdays between 1-4pm on WLVI Boston MA. Oh, many years ago too.
