Was the commando raid against the underground ammo dump historically accurate?
The narrator says on 9 July 1941 54 handpicked soldiers embarked on a mission in 3 captured Italian trucks to blow up that major ammo dump ca. 20 miles from their perimeter. Did this raid really happened? Or was it just a fictional event in the movie?
