There was NOTHING romantic about convoy duty. This is an anti-romance. It didn't even contain a bit of glory that most war movies have. Drudgery, suffering and death. GREAT portrayal.

It portrays the boredom and cruelty of war as men leave occupations such as band musician and used car salesman, to dedicate themselves to killing the enemy in extremely trying circumstances.🐭
