Not an Ealing!

This movie is not listed as an Ealing, not produced by Michael Balcon, and Anthony Kimmins is not listed as having ever directed for Ealing.

Several people posting in the user comments have called this an Ealing.

However........it sure seems like one. One wonders if it was presented to Mr. Balcon and he turned it down for some reason.

It has so many of the Ealing elements, not the least of which is Alec Guinness, and the time period is right.

Now, we must all be careful, or we will have another Kleenex on our hands.
"Ealing" may become a term for any late 40s or 50s British comedy.

But...... to call this an Ealing is indeed a compliment!
