Anyone else out there think the lieutenant Danny was detestable?! I sure do! Danny treated Calamity very badly and never even apologized. Even though she saved his life, he wasn't a real friend.

I completely agree. I use to watch it all the time when i was younger and didn't pay any attention to it. I just finished watching it again and realized how much of a jerk he was.

The real Martha Jane Canary looked more like a man than either of the male leads

Agreed. He was an ungrateful prick and was so mean to Calamity. I guess he thought she didn't "deserve" him because she wasn't hot. The ONLY time he was nice to her was to say that she looked "an absolute vision" at the ball (which she did). But again that was entirely tied to her looks.

Yes, Calamity definitely got the better man. The worst was when he read Katie's good by letter to an already devastated and embarrassed Calamity. What a mean creep.
