Voice on the Radio listened to under the sheets?

I listened to the radio announcer again and think it sounds like Lee J. Cobb. Any idea as to whom it might be as there is no credit listed for the real actor?

I thought it sounded like Raymond Burr a little, which wouldn't be too unusual, as actors in films are on occasion called upon to do minor voice-over bits like that, rather than the producers having to hire another actor for the one line. But I listened closely and I'm not positive. Lee J. Cobb and Burr had similar voices. But there's almost no chance they would have brought in Lee J. Cobb to do such a small thing on a film he wasn't already in.

Have listened very carefully to the voice on the radio. I really believe it to be Lee J Cobb. Listen to the little roughnesses in his voice and the cadence when he says, ". . . Brought to light in the Blue Gardenia. . . ." The cadence in "brought to light" is purely Lee J Cobb. Also the stretching out of the word "dress" in the phrase "taffeta dress" is another of Mr. Cobb's speech patterns. Definitely not Raymond Burr.
