Always manage to catch this

I usually tune in every time TCM airs it. I can't help but laugh at the fact that (Conte), the determined newspaperman, remembered Prebble's last potential date's phone number but never bothered to cross check her address or even go back to the phone company to find her. He also had a very bad memory since he did not remember he had seen Norah at the phone company and was told she was a roommate of the owner of that number.

Another film with Burr playing the cad is 'Crime of Passion' (1957). The film also stars Barbara Stanwyck. I think FOX owns it though. If you liked this film , you'll like it too.
