Strangely similar plot features to 'Wages of Fear' (1953)

If you have seen Wages of Fear (Released in April '53 in France) you will notice a huge amount of plot similarity to this film (also released in 1953). I didn't see where anyone else noticed this and thought someone might have a more thorough analysis of these similarities. If you enjoyed this movie, you might love Wages of Fear, although it is subtitled from French into English. Had to watch it twice, once to read and once to enjoy the visuals. While I am at it, the 1977 Sorceror, a remake of Wages of Fear, by William Friedkin (his next film after The Exorcist) is also an extraordinary film. The music in the 1977 version by Tangerine Dream was so moving that it apparently changed the direction of Friedkin's direction of the film, once he heard the score while he was shooting in a South American jungle.
