Factual error

I turned this in to imdb and it's not been listed. The diving for the cross takes place in Spring Bayou, approximately 1/4 mile south of the sponge docks.
The filming of this event in the movie is done in the water in front of the sponge docks. The building outlines above the area where the bishop throws the cross can be clearly seen.
I visited the area on the 10th of September this year. The water of Spring Bayou was as black as India ink.
Evidentally there used to be a spring flowing from this bayou, which no longer flows.
