I was wondering if anyone had any photographs of, or information on, the gorgeous gold gown Cyd Charisse wears to perform the brief "New Sun in the Sky" number. It's so lovely on her, and so delicate and intricately detailed, I was disappointed that it only appeared once in the entire film.

Hi,one can never be too rich or have too many friends. On the DVD,Liza Minneli says she owns it now.
Along with just about everything else she wears in this movie, I love that dress, too. Especially as it so perfectly bends back in the breeze as the chorus boys carry her forward, revealing an exquisite leg!

That dress was definitely gorgeous! My favorites were all of the outfits
that were accessorized with kelly green...my favorite color. Seeing all of
that green was a joy to watch!!

Cyd loooked sensational in all her costumes from "The Bandwagon' and "Singing in the Rain" ... but my favourite was the 'new look" white dress from the "Dancing in the Dark" number.

I just watched The Band Wagon for the first time last night. Honestly I didn't think it lived up to the four star rating Leonard Maltin gave it. The one thing that stood out to me was the dress that you mentioned. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, and I loved the color. The movie itself was forgettable, but that yellow dress was one to remember.
