Playing herself, the Hollywood star in town to do the town...as glamourous, yet down to earth as I imagine she really was. A real treat!

She does. In the last scene I thought she was Ava Gardner again from a distance.

It was one of the best comic moments in the film. I'm glad they got her to do it instead of hiring an unknown actress to play a "star".

Yes it was such a treat! She was so glamorous and gorgeous in her classic black dress, two-strand pearl choker....and that fur! If you dressed like that today....people would look at you in a strange way! Watching this classic film is such a relief from what people are wearing today.

Ava Gardner was really something! She may be the most beautiful woman ever to appear in movies. Can't begin to imagine how amazing she must have looked in person.

I just hate that they're closing down the IMDB message boards. It's been terrific to look up a film like Band Wagon and see how many people appreciate it.

The trolls have killed it. What a shame.
