Richard Long's talented nose

In the 'goofs' section of the "All I Desire" article, some clever contributor writes about how in a kissing scene Richard Long's nose at first appears to the left and then to the right of the girl he's kissing. Richard Long had a very talented nose. In fact, Universal Pictures put him under long-term contract precisely because of his acrobatic nose. He could magically make his nose appear wherever it was needed. Percy Kilbride, Pa Kettle, once commented that his favorite costar was in fact Richard Long's nose. Even after his death, Richard Long's nose continued to star in films and in TV productions. The highlight of his post-mortem career occurred when his nose received a Tony award for its performance in Flower Drum Song.
