i know no one will reply to this as the message board is beyond dead, but the plot of ricky and the flash is very similar. i thought of this film as soon as i realised what ricky and the flash was about.

i read on wikipedia that sirk made a different, sadder ending to this film, but the producer overruled him. i wonder what the original ending was..

I think Sirk originally intended to title this movie "Stop Over", which probably gives you a hint as to what the original ending was supposed to be... Naomi was supposed to leave at the end. While I like this movie a lot, the original ending really would have made more sense.
