2001:A Space Odyssey, Kubrick "borrows" from Abbott&Costello Go To Mars?

I'm watching Abbott & Costello Go To Mars on Svengoolie.

Inside the spaceship, there's kinda a fixed swinging see-saw station for the astronauts to sit on, serving as a reminder the rocket is in motion.

Abbott swings about. Costello, however, climbs all four corners of the enclosure, as it obviously is rotated during filming.

Reminds me of the interior scene of the Discovery in 2001 during jogging...and the flight attendant walking about in the space transport in a circular pattern.

Other movies have shown space flight without astronauts internally rotating while walking. Like 2010...

Interesting how gravity "plate" shoes are used in this movie with magnets whereas in 2001, Velcro was used on the soles.
